Music, Community, and Collaboration: Hendy Street Produxions Teams Up with Ben Folds and the Arts Council of Wilmington
At Hendy Street Produxions, we recently had the incredible opportunity to work alongside renowned musician Ben Folds and partner with the Arts Council of Wilmington and New Hanover County. Together, we embarked on a creative journey to produce a captivating public service announcement (PSA) that not only celebrated the transformative power of music but also aligned with the Arts Council's mission to support artists and arts organizations while showcasing Wilmington as an arts destination. The Arts Council of Wilmington and New Hanover County is a forward-thinking organization committed to supporting artists and arts organizations. Their mission is centered around fostering innovation, building partnerships, and cultivating a flourishing artistic ecosystem that not only creates employment opportunities but also stimulates economic growth. Aligned with their mission, the Arts Council has partnered with Ben Folds to create the Keys for Kids charitable initiative. This collaborative endeavor is dedicated to supporting the aspiring young talents of North Carolina by providing them with keyboards to fuel their passion for music. By joining forces, the Arts Council and Ben Folds are empowering local youth, ensuring they have the necessary tools to explore their musical potential and pursue their dreams.
The involvement of the exceptionally talented musician and songwriter, Ben Folds, added an extra layer of brilliance to the project. The PSA shoot beautifully embodied our shared vision. Through captivating visuals and heartfelt storytelling, our goal was to highlight the transformative power of music in fostering community unity.. Every step of the way, our team collaborated closely with Ben Folds and the Arts Council of Wilmington to ensure a deeply resonant message. We seamlessly incorporated Ben's musical talents at Wilmington’s Greenfield Lake Amphitheater and his heartfelt anecdotes, emphasizing how music influences personal growth, emotional well-being, and community cohesion.
